Providing Support
The Magnolia High School Band Booster Club (MHSBBC) is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization comprised of volunteer parents dedicated to the support of the Magnolia High School Band and Color Guard. The MHSBBC assists the program by funding services and educational opportunities, providing volunteer manpower, and maintaining a communication network for parents.
We provide support by chaperoning events, serving meals, coordinating fundraising activities, moving equipment, and helping the directors as needed. Our support enables the directors and staff to spend as much time working with our children as possible.
Being a part of the booster organization is a great way to be involved in your child’s activities. It is also a great way to make new friends, both with other parents as well as getting to know the other students.
The MHS Band and Color Guard relies heavily on volunteers. Volunteers are the backbone of our organization and provide your student the best experience possible. Volunteering for the band is a great opportunity to spend time with your child and watch them in action. There are several ways you can support the MHS Band and Color Guard:
- Follow us on social media to stay up to date on all activities
- Get the BAND app and join the MHS Band
- Sync your calendar with the official band calendar
- Attend the monthly booster meetings
- Ask businesses to sponsor the band
- Volunteer! We have a spot for you even if you only have an hour to give (chaperoning, serving meals, moving equipment, photographing an event)
- Join one of our many committees (Fundraising, Concert Programs, Pit Crew, Band Banquet) or run for a seat on the Booster Board!
Every parent or guardian who has signed a current band registration form and is current on all fees is a member of the booster organization. In fact, your involvement is critical to the success of both your individual student and the entire band.
Monthly meetings are held in the band hall and you are invited to attend and stay current on the many activities of the band program.
