Matching Gift or Volunteer Grant programs
Many companies offer employee benefit programs, such as Donation Matching and Volunteer Matching programs, which can double or even triple the value of your contributions and volunteering efforts. A corporate matching donation, or matching gift, is when a person makes a donation to a non-profit organization and their employer donates an additional amount, often equal or greater than the employee’s donation. A matching gift is a great way for a donor to increase their contribution to Magnolia High School Band.
By participating in these corporate giving programs, you have the power to magnify the positive change you bring to our cause, without any additional financial burden.
There are many employers who offer Matching Gift and/or Volunteer Grant Programs to make your donation go even further. Gifts from employees’ spouses and retirees may also qualify for a match.

If you don’t see your company, contact your Human Resources Representative to ask if they have a matching gift program. If they don’t yet have one, please ask if they would consider starting one.
How to use company donation matching:
- Contact your HR department to inquire about their donation matching policy.
- Complete necessary paperwork. If your company participates in a donation matching program, you may need to fill out a form to initiate the process. - Submit your donation. Once you have made a personal donation to our organization, submit the necessary paperwork and proof of your contribution to your HR department. They will verify the information and process the matching donation.
How to use a company volunteer matching program:
- Check for volunteer hour matching with your HR department. In addition to donation matching, some companies also offer volunteer hour matching programs. These programs contribute a monetary value for the time you spend volunteering with our organization.
- Track your volunteering hours. Keep a record of your volunteer hours that you spend supporting MHS Band.
- Request volunteer matching from your company. Submit your volunteer hours to your HR department, along with any required documentation. Your company will then calculate the corresponding monetary donation based on company policies and your volunteer hours.
